Fiona Green: Artist Statement
As a lover of art, Fiona Green enjoys experiencing, listening and seeing all forms of art. Her practice is that of viewing and enjoying others disciplines. She feels it is a multi sensory experience which can open ones eyes to other aspects in the world and possibly understand different points of view. Art is a dynamic and ever changing feild. No two people can have the same perspective on a piece and that is what makes it special. What she most enjoys about art is when it can make the viewer feel a plethora of emotion. Anger, sadness, elatedness, love, fear, all of these can be communicated through different forms of art.

Chanel Haut Couture show S/S 2015 |
The form of art she most gravitates toward is painting. Fiona specifically enjoys renaissance paintings because it is intriguing in both a historical context and a creative context. As well she enjoys modern painting and sculpture where the art includes different materials and textures. Fashion design is also a discipline that she finds interest in. The making of beautiful items of clothing for Haute Couture is absolutely breathtaking. So much labour and careful planning goes into making many pieces which are scrutinized on the runway. Fashion in many ways to Fiona is one of the best forms of art, combining texture, colour, and shape.
