I am in search for a completeness that is impossible to achieve. I am intrigued by subtleties that have the power to change the entirety of a structure, whether it be a flick of a wrist or flex of a foot. I am invested in the challenge between frustration and acceptance. I am aware of my insecurities surrounding obsession, fear and doubt. I am reflective through these impediments that threaten my freedom of full expression. I am anchored by this movement in moments I feel unstable. I am experimental in repetition and transposition. I am fascinated by a creation process of not thinking and overthinking. I am driven by the dissonance between my internal impulses and their external repercussions. I am focused on the dynamics of how different bodies are able to interpret and translate movement. I am consumed by a realm that demands a voice in those that often go unnoticed. I am inspired by my peers, my mentors and my community through observing the growth of fellow artists and successes of accomplished professionals. I am respectful to my traditional roots, yet my dreams are coloured by the unconventional. I am an individual who has devoted a life to a continuous practice of self-discovery and improvement. I am in search for the incomplete, as my work will never be finished or satisfied.
