Hi, Mom 你好,李焕英
When it comes to mom, what do you think? Mothers' warm smile, good food? Or is it something that impressed you? Hi, Mom is a 2021 Chinese comedy film directed by Jia Ling. I read about it online before I saw the movie, and it's about Jia Ling's mom. The film was based on the director's true story, letting the audience enjoy a happy viewing experience, and more can feel the authenticity of the film, resulting in a sense of participation. Through this film, Jia Ling expressed her yearning and love for her mother.
Based on Jia Ling's own experience, the title of the film, in which Jia Ling's late mother, Li Huan Ying, makes up for the loss of her mother by traveling back through time and space to her youth after the loss of a loved one. Every line and scene in the film is a reflection of Jia Ling's real experience and genuine affection for her mother. "I didn't do it to be a director, I did it to be a director to be Li Huan Ying.". Jia Ling explains why she made the film in the first place. "She wanted to introduce her to everyone, to show everyone how happy she was, and to hope that everyone in the audience could continue to be happy with her," said director Jia Ling.
The film begins in 2001 with the story of how, to make her mom look good in front of her co-workers, she fakes an admission letter to satisfy her mother and to be exposed by the public. To her surprise, her mother doesn't blame her, but rather comforts Jia Ling that she will have a future. Mother and daughter are still talking about the future of all sorts. Suddenly, a van came to them, making this beautiful scene disappear. It made me suddenly feel that death was so close to me. A word came before my eyes. "The tree wants to be quiet, but the wind does not stop, the son wants to raise but the close does not wait.". The first time I saw this sentence was in the fourth grade of primary school. The math teacher wrote this sentence on the blackboard when he learned that his classmate's father had died suddenly. The teacher said, "Do you know what that means? There are many things we cannot control, especially the death of loved ones, time will wash away all the pain, but can never fill the heart with regret. So, we need to take every moment seriously so that parents can see their children rise to the top." Seeing Jia Ling and her mother hit, I remembered this, which I still can't forget.
Speaking of Li Huan Ying, Jia Ling was just a month into college when her mother died in an accident, and she never saw her mother again, along with such regrets as the many nice things she didn't have time to buy for her mother. Jia Ling said, "I didn't let my mother see me as a successful man." Children want to support from parents but do not stay close to their parents. This is how many people's pain. When we were young, they did not become children that their parents look forward to looking like, letting them leave with regret and deeply feel guilty. It reminds me that we haven't said our goodbyes yet. It is only regretted that makes you endlessly sad.
And all the regrets, she put in the movie Hi, Mom. Jia Ling went back in time to the 1980s and asked her to do something for her mother. That's why they had that conversation.
"Are you glad I came?"
"I'm happy."
"I can make you happier."
So, Jia Ling worked hard to grab the first TV for her mother, actively promoted volleyball matches, and even let her mother dating the factory director's son, Shen Guang Lin, to change her fate, make her happy and give her a better life. But her mother said: "My daughter, I just want her to be happy and healthy."
There are many details in the film that are worth remembering. There was a duet between Jia Ling and Shen Guang Lin, and Jia Ling said that because her mother had never seen her perform on stage, she wanted to make up for it. Then there was Jia Ling, who drove her mother around in a convertible, her license plate number starting with a number H, and that represents Jia Ling's hometown was Xiangyang, Hubei Province in China.
This movie is so real, and there's so much to dig into. It is not so much time-travel as a return to the light. We all thought that fell into Jia Ling's time travel drama, including Jia Ling herself, turned out to be a mother to understand her daughter's heart knot and weave a beautiful dream.
At the end of the story, Jia Ling runs crying and says: But my mother can't sew yet." Jia Ling has been repeating this sentence, at the beginning not quite understand, the lens of a reversal reappears Li Huan Ying's life and daughter get along bit by bit. Put in a lot of effort to pull up naughty daughter Jia Ling grow up. Jia Ling had bad grades, fighting with others, her mother is always tolerant of her; To save money, her mother said she would take a bus home, but hid the fact that she was walking home in a blizzard.
Suddenly I realize, at first, we thought Jia Ling's crossing is to participate in her mother's youth, to change the fate of Li Huan Ying, let her life better. It turns out mom knew everything she was doing, to help her daughter to make up for the regret, untie the knot, try to cooperate. Lee Huan Ying told her daughter: She wants to have a daughter; she has no regrets about marrying Jia Wen Tian; a daughter is just as good as her father; she is happy, and her daughter is happy as long as she is happy.
In the end, Jia Ling cries and begs her mother not to go, not to leave. Life and death moment here to render, emotional sublimation all of a sudden, many people are silently out of paper towels. At the end of the film, Jia Ling shows a real photo of her mother with the caption: "My mother was a middle-aged woman for as long as I can remember, so I always forget that my mother was a young girl. Mother's love is always the warmest corner of our hearts. "Maternal love is like air," Jia Ling said. "It's there when you're born. You can ignore it. It's only when you lose it that you suffocate."
The film's English name is Hi, Mom, but the Chinese name is Hello, Li Huan Ying. Jia Ling said the reason it's called Hello Li Huan Ying is that she thinks her mother is not only a mother but also herself. As the film ends with the phrase: as a daughter of the mother has always been the look of middle-aged women, they are frugal, rarely dressed up, as a restraint of the passion and romance as a teenager. For the family, for the children quietly pay the youth. I came across a sentence that struck me: "We grew up in the rush of time but neglected to bury the youth of another girl as we grew up."
Tomorrow and the accident do not know which comes first, so before this, let our life as far as possible do not leave a regret.
